Subject: An Update on Impact from Flood Situation

Reference is made to the notification by The Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCC) relating to the impact from flood situation and the preparation for any emergencies that might occur. SCC had moved its supporting operation units at SCC Bangsue Headquarters to the safe site earlier and normal operations at SCC Bangsue headquarters had been temporarily halted from October 20, 2011.

SCC hereby announces that with the recovery of flooding situation, some staff have resumed their work at SCC Bangsue headquarters since November 21, 2011 and all staff will perform their normal operations from Monday, November 28, 2011 onward. Moreover, production plants of subsidiaries temporarily having ceased their production due to indirect impact from shortage of raw materials for their production and currently managing to run their normal operations include plants of The Siam Cement (Ta Luang) Co., Ltd., The Siam Fibre-Cement Co., Ltd. at Ta Luang, Saraburi Province, and The-Cement Products (Lampang) Co., Ltd. at Lampang Province.

Production plants of SCC's subsidiaries which have temporarily ceased their production from the flood are plants of Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. in Prathumthani Province and Quality Construction Products Public Company Limited in Bang Pa-in Industrial Estate, Ayutthaya Province, both of which are under restoration and maintenance and are expected to commence their normal operations by December 2011- January 2012. In addition, production plants of subsidiaries and associates of SCC located in Nava Nakorn Industrial Estate that have started their restoration and maintenance process are plants of Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd. (producing corrugated boxes), The Siam Sanitary Fittings Co., Ltd. (producing faucets and fittings), Siam Kubota Corporation Co., Ltd. (producing agricultural machinery), Thai Engineering Products Co., Ltd. (producing automotive parts), and Musashi Auto Parts Co., Ltd. (producing motorcycle transmission parts). All these plants are expected to resume their production from the first quarter of 2012.
